In China mainland, personal information is collected and processed by R-bies Co., Ltd. (“R-bies”) in accordance with any applicable data protection laws and regulation including China Personal Information Protection Law (“PIPL”). DATA RETENTION

R-bies retains your personal data as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes set out in this Policy, unless there is a mandatory retention requirement by law.

After the retention period has expired, we will delete or anonymize your personal data in accordance with applicable laws.

CHANGES TO THE POLICY

R-bies will obtain your consent to any material changes to this Policy if and where required by applicable data protection laws.

INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

R-bies will take necessary data management action as required by applicable laws and regulations before transferring your personal data outside China mainland.

SEPARATE CONSENT

R-bies will seek your separate consent for the processing of sensitive personal information or any other personal information for which separate consent is required by applicable law, depending on your actual use.

YOUR RIGHTS

The PIPL provides individuals with the following rights. Unless specified otherwise, please contact us at the contact details specified above to exercise your rights. Please be aware that we may be required to ask you for certain additional personal information in order to verify your identity before we are able to carry out your rights request.

  1. Withdrawal of consent: You may withdraw your consent at any time, which will not affect the lawfulness of any handling activities pertaining to your personal information which were conducted prior to such withdrawal. There will be no negative consequences for you should you choose to withdraw your consent, however we may no longer be able to provide you with the products or services to which such consent relates. You may exercise your right to withdraw your consent by emailing us at the contact information in the section below.
  2. Access and transfer: Subject to certain lawful exceptions, you have the right to access and receive a copy of your personal information in a timely manner, and you may request that we transfer your personal information to certain personal information handlers which you designate (provided that certain conditions of the Cyberspace Administration of China have been met).
  3. Correction: You have the right to request that we correct, complete and/or supplement your inaccurate or incomplete personal information, which request we shall carry out following verification and in a timely manner. If you have a Run Japan or other account, you may review and update your account information directly within your Run Japan or other account.
  4. Deletion: In certain circumstances stipulated by law, administrative regulations or contract, you have the right to the deletion of your personal information.
  5. Right to explanation: You have the right to request an explanation of our personal information handling rules unless otherwise stipulated by law or administrative regulations. In addition, you have the right to receive an explanation in the event that we reject your request to exercise any of the rights described herein.
  6. Right of the deceased: Subject to certain lawful exceptions, your rights may be exercised by your close relatives in the event of your death.
  7. Rights concerning automated decision-making: When our use of automated decision-making produces decisions with a major influence on your rights and interests, you have the right to require us to explain the matter, and to prevent us from basing our decisions solely on automated methods. Further, in the event we use automated decision-making for purposes of information pushing or commercial marketing, you have the right to require that we refrain from targeting your personal characteristics in connection with such activities. Please note that we do not conduct automated decision-making, including profiling.
  8. Right to refuse handling involving publicly-disclosed personal information: Subject to certain lawful exceptions, you have the right to object to our handling of your publicly-disclosed personal information, and where such handling has a major influence on your rights and interests, to refuse (or withdraw) your consent.
In the event that we have rejected your request to exercise any of the rights described above, you have the right to file a lawsuit with a People’s Court pursuant to law. Additionally, you always have the right to file a complaint or report regarding unlawful handling activities with the relevant government departments fulfilling personal information protection duties and responsibilities.
