In Taiwan, Personal Information is collected and processed by R-bies Co., Ltd. (“R-bies”) in accordance with any applicable data protection laws and regulation including the Personal Information Protection Act 2015 (“PDPA”). YOUR RIGHTS
The PDPA provides you with certain additional or distinct rights from those described in the main body of this Privacy Policy, as follows:
- Right to be informed:You have the right to be informed, at the time your personal data is collected, of the purpose of collection, the scope of use, the categories of recipients, and your rights under the PDPA. Where your personal data is collected for marketing or non-essential purposes, you will be informed of your right to object to such use.
- Right of access and review:You have the right to make an inquiry about and to review your personal data held by us, as well as to request a copy thereof. We may charge a reasonable fee for providing such copies.
- Right to rectification:You have the right to request us to supplement or correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal data concerning you. If you have a Run Japan or other account, you may review and update your account information directly within your Run Japan or other account.
- Right to deletion / right to be forgotten:You have the right to request the erasure of your personal data where (i) the purpose of collection no longer exists, (ii) the data is being processed unlawfully, or (iii) you have withdrawn your consent and there is no other legal basis for continued processing.
- Right to restriction of processing:You have the right to request the suspension, restriction, or cessation of the processing or use of your personal data where it is inaccurate, unlawfully processed, or beyond the necessary scope of the original purpose of collection.
- Right to withdraw consent:Where the processing of your personal data is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw such consent at any time. Upon withdrawal, we will cease processing or using your personal data unless otherwise permitted under Article 11, Paragraph 3 of the PDPA (for example, where required by law).
- Right to data portability:Upon your request, we will provide you with access to, or a copy of, your personal data in a commonly used form. Government and non-government agencies are required to respond to such requests without undue delay.
- Right to object to processing and marketing:You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data, including to request that we cease using your personal data for marketing purposes. When we use personal data for marketing for the first time, we will provide you with a convenient method to object to such use, and we will bear any cost arising from your objection.
- Right not to be subject to automated decision-making:While the PDPA does not expressly establish a right not to be subject to automated decision-making, we do not engage in processing that relies solely on automated decisions or profiling that produces legal or similar significant effects on you.
