YOUR RIGHTS

The PDPA provides you with certain additional or distinct rights from those described in the main body of this Privacy Policy, as follows:

  1. Right to be informed:Before or at the time of the collection of your personal data, we will inform you of the purposes of collection, retention periods, lawful basis, your rights, and the categories of recipients of your personal data.
  2. Right of access:You have the right to request that we provide you with confirmation as to whether we hold personal data concerning you, and if so, to receive a copy of such personal data, subject to the limitations and exemptions under the PDPA.
  3. Right to rectification:You have the right to request that we correct or update your personal data to ensure it is accurate, complete, and up to date. If you have a Run Japan or other account, you may review and update your account information directly within your Run Japan or other account.
  4. Right to erasure / Right to be forgotten:You have the right to request that we erase, destroy, or anonymize your personal data in certain cases, such as when it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, when you withdraw consent, or when it has been unlawfully processed.
  5. Right to restriction of processing:You have the right to request suspension or restriction of the processing of your personal data in circumstances such as where you contest the accuracy of the data, the processing is unlawful but you prefer restriction rather than erasure, or we no longer need the data for the original purposes but you need it for establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
  6. Right to data portability:You have the right, under certain conditions, to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, and to request transmission of that data to another controller where technically feasible.
  7. Right to withdraw consent:Where our processing of your personal data is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw such consent at any time with effect for the future. Upon withdrawal, unless otherwise permitted under law, we will cease processing or using your personal data.
  8. Right to object:You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data in certain circumstances, including where it is processed for direct marketing purposes or for purposes based on our legitimate interests rather than your consent.
If you are dissatisfied with our response to your request or with our processing of your personal data, you have the right to file a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Committee pursuant to Section 73 of the PDPA.
